Board of Directors

The Centre's Board of Directors is currently composed of three inaugural members, all members of the Order of Ontario and representing regional and cultural diversity.

A new corporation must have at least three board members at the time of incorporation. The remaining seats will be filled within 12 months following a rigorous, competency-based recruitment and selection process that will be inclusive of all six Health Ontario regions.

With 157 associative and institutional members, its mandate is to bring together the province's Francophone community and act as a spokesperson, among other things, to defend the rights of the 795,760 Franco-Ontarians.

Founded in 1953, Montfort is Ontario's francophone academic hospital. Since 2013, it has had a four-point provincial mandate, which includes participating in the planning of French-language health services and supporting the government in fulfilling its obligations under the French Language Services Act.
